The MinX-ray was selected as the x-ray unit of choice because of the ease of use and portability.  The unit is lightweight and is easily maneuverable throughout the hospital trailer.  All physicians, nurses, and paramedics have been trained to acquire and process films.  Simply setting the digital x-ray plate, measuring the distance, and setting the kilovolts is all that is required.  After the exposure, the plate is removed and inserted into the Konica -Minolta Computed Radiography (CR) processing system.  Patient identification information and type of x-ray acquired is set, and the image projects in less than 30 seconds.

The Sonosite ultrasound machine is used to provide transabdominal and transvaginal, focused abdominal sonography for trauma (FAST), gall bladder, aortic, and other examinations.  The cart and larger screen may be used for better resolution, or the unit may be removed from the cradle to perform exams when patient volume is excessive.
